The most commonly used criterion by the physicians for the assessment of weight problems in outpatient clinics is the body mass index (BMI). Interpretation of your weight in kilograms (kg) divided by the square of height in centimetres (cm):

BELOW 18: UNDERWEIGHT

18.5-25: NORMAL OR HEALTHY WEIGHT

25-30: OVERWEIGHT

30-40: OBESE

40-50: MORBIDLY OBESE

50 AND ABOVE: SUPER OBESE
